Being social and living in the real world...

... can be so stressful sometimes. Because you have to put on a façade and show that you are having a good time all the time.

I miss those days when I would read or write a story, watch something, listen to music or paint. I miss diving into a fantasy world with endless limits. Every time something new, exciting and dangerous. To go to a place where there is real love, friendship and loyalty. Where there are heroes who are strong and brave enough to face the bad guys. Happy endings...

Time is such a bastard, you know? When you have fun he runs so fast because he is jealous. When you are bored he slows down to tease you. And just when you try to find time because you need him, he hides from you. But the worst part is, you always loose against him in a fight.

Jack the Ripper in 21th Century...

... can get away with what he does.

Today I learned that an Iranian gynaecologist has diagnosed more than 50 woman with uterus cancer and 'saved' them by doing successful surgery in removing their uterus. Only problem is; none of these woman had uterus cancer whatsoever..
Of course when this was found out he was brought to court and he is now banned from doing any gynaecological surgeries or practises for the rest of his life. Puuuh... Saved! Right?.... No.

Not only did this guy remove perfectly healthy uterus from young women, he also got loads of money from them for "saving" (more accurately "destroying any of their potential chances of passing their genes to the next generation" but let's not get so deep in to this matter, right? it's JUST an uterus anyways..) these women's life's. And the only punishment he receives is a BAN? REALLY?

I realised, we are living in century where the bad guys got more clever. You see, they know the system now. Better than the good guys. They do what they do "professional" and "legal", so that they are able to present their crimes as "mistakes", "false diagnosis" and "apologises". And the worst part is, their job is now profitable. Big companies are not doing slavery any more. They employ people in china (underwaged with long working hours) and we then go and give them money, because oh what a suprise, their product is cheaper!

There is a huge wide world there outside of my own little world inside of myself. Everyday I hear news. Death, War, Rape, Disease, Crisis, Unemployment, Global Warming, Extinction of Animals, Discrimination, Genocide, New Richest Man on Earth, New President, New Music-Queen, Nuclear Power, Energy Crisis, Pollution, New Types of Virus, more death, more crime, less world. . . . And I wonder. Does anyone care?

Down...

... "the p r i m r o s e path of dalliance treads"

I always loved the way primrose sounded in this dreadful sentence. i say 'dreadful' because a path, no matter short or long, is deemed to be exhausting. and dear lord, you have treads on top of that as well! however.. in comparison to that, primrose...hmmm.. tempting.

And at the end, we give in to temptation. we do choose the primrose road. and we do it so professionally. with elegance. and even honour. now, please do not lie to yourself thinking you are choosing the harder way; just because everyone else is finding it difficult. stop it with all the comparisons and gradings and levellings. it neither helps you or the 'other'. how many times have you actually compared yourself to yourself? How many times have you challenged your own records / limits / opinions? Did you ever disagreed with yourself? to the point that you thought you were getting schizophrenic? why do we feel the need to compare ourselves to others when we have a so-much-closer contrast within ourselves?

is it really harder to compete with oneself than to do it with the 'other'? people feel satisfied when they are THE best. what they fail to realise is that they feel THE best compared to everyone else. but is it really THE best compared to their own capabilities? ...

this century is missing the real geniuses. i miss the times when the world was surrounded by the stupid and real 'hardcore path' takers would have to risk their own safety to prove themselves. going over the limits. changing lives. changing the way we live and see. changing what we know. changing our reality. that's what we need. change.

something HAS to change in our way of living.

~~~
I shall the effect of this good lesson keep,
As watchman to my heart. But, good my brother,
Do not, as some ungracious pastors do,
Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven;
Whiles, like a puff'd and reckless libertine,
Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads,
And recks not his own rede.
- W.S. (Hamlet)
